Carlo Ancelotti provides brief update on James Rodriguez following Everton’s loss to Fulham

Everton downed by Fulham

Sunday evening’s Premier League action drew to a close a short time ago.

The final clash of the weekend saw Everton play host to relegation-battling Fulham.

The Toffees headed into the tie in fairly patchy form. But, even without the services of star striker Dominic Calvert-Lewin, still likely fancied their chances of getting something against a Fulham side who had won just twice in their previous 22 Premier League fixtures.

When all was said and done at Goodison Park, though, it was actually the visitors who surprisingly came away with all three points.

Josh Maja, who was handed his first start for Fulham on Sunday, opened the scoring minutes into the second-half.

The hitman then added his second 65 minutes in, securing a valuable three points for Scott Parker and co.

Carlo Ancelotti provides Rodriguez update

To further pile on Everton’s woes on Sunday, they also saw James Rodriguez forced off with an injury 20 minutes from time:

Carlo Ancelotti, in turn, provided an update on the Colombian post-match. However, he gave little away when speaking to BT Sport, simply stating:

On the back of their defeat to Fulham, Everton face a huge test against table-topping Manchester City this coming Wednesday, with all associated with the club no doubt desperate to see Rodriguez involved in some capacity.
