Cameron Johnson Out 1-2 Months After Meniscus Trim

Phoenix Suns forward Cameron Johnson underwent surgery on his torn right meniscus on Tuesday. Johnson had his meniscus trimmed and he’s expected to be out for 1-2 months.

The fourth-year veteran was injured after playing five minutes of the Suns loss to the Portland Trail Blazers on November 4. On the season, Johnson has averaged a career-best 13 points per game, while knocking down 43.1% of his three-point shots.

There has been some speculation that Phoenix could try to entice Jae Crowder to return to the team while Johnson is out. Crowder asked for a trade this offseason after being informed he would lose his starting role to Johnson. The Suns and Crowder agreed for him to leave the team while Phoenix looks for a trade for the veteran forward.
