Buccaneers provide update on WR Russell Gage
In the closing minutes of “Super Wild Card Weekend,” NFL fans saw another scary scene on the field late in the Tampa Bay Buccaneers‘ loss to the Dallas Cowboys on Monday night.
Bucs wide receiver Russell Gage was carted off the field with 2:55 left in the fourth quarter after he was hit by Cowboys safety Donovan Wilson, causing his neck to bend awkwardly. Gage attempted to get up following the play but seemed to be unable to do so before trainers ran onto the field.
The 26-year-old was diagnosed with a concussion and transported to a local hospital. The team provided an update on Tuesday.
