Buccaneers HC Reveals When Tom Brady Will Return

No, Tampa Bay Buccaneers quarterback Tom Brady isn’t missing in action.

He will still play his 23rd NFL season once the Buccaneers open their campaign against the Dallas Cowboys on September 11.

However, he is taking a break before the real grind.

Buccaneers head coach Todd Bowles also revealed the date of Brady’s return

NFL Network national insider Ian Rapoport tweeted, “#Bucs QB Tom Brady is not at practice today for personal, non-football reasons. Coach Todd Bowles will discuss it after practice, but my understanding is he won’t be present for a few days.”

He also shared, “Coach Todd Bowles said Tom Brady won’t be back until after the #Titans preseason game, which is on Aug 20.”

Brady is taking his time because it isn’t easy playing football at an advanced age.

Even if he hasn’t shown signs of slowing down, he would like to take it easy and not put stress on his body.

He will perform at a high level when needed and the team’s offensive linemen will make sure that he isn’t touched by pass rushers.

Brady Deserves All The Break He Needs

If he will return after the preseason game against the Tennessee Titans, so be it.

After all, the Buccaneers cannot risk him getting injured during the meaningless game.

Once he gets his rest, Brady will have a better time playing during the season.

No one can also question his work ethic because he puts in the hard work and prepares for the game like no other.

So, Buccaneers fans need not be alarmed by his absence.

Instead, opposing teams should be alarmed about this year’s Buccaneers.

Imagine, Brady has targets like Chris Godwin, Mike Evans, Julio Jones, and Russell Gage.

That’s a collection of wideouts that can dominate at any given time.
