Man United vs Brighton
Manchester United played host to Brighton in Sunday’s late Premier League kick-off.
The Red Devils headed into the meeting at Old Trafford in solid form, with a great chance to put some distance between themselves and the other Champions League-chasing clubs.
However, despite dominating the early exchanges, United fell behind after their former hitman, Danny Welbeck, gave the Seagulls the lead:
Welbeck scores on his return! 🙌

Brighton, in turn, headed in at the break in possession of a 1-0 lead, though Graham Potter and co. probably felt that their advantage should have been extended even further.
Man United, on the other hand, were pretty woeful throughout much of the first 45.
Marcus Rashford did not look fit, Paul Pogba well off his game, and a host of other players, including Edinson Cavani, were simply not good enough.

Did Fernandes want a penalty over Rashford goal?
And despite opening the second-half in similarly woeful fashion, United, in the end, found an equaliser just past the hour-mark.
Bruno Fernandes laid off for Rashford to calmly slot past Robert Sanchez:
Rashforddd… Level!

Whilst Rashford managed to score with relative ease, though, Man United’s fans revealed their belief that Bruno Fernandes nevertheless wanted referee Mike Dean to award a penalty, having been fouled in teeing up the equaliser:

Bruno Fernandes asking why a penalty wasn’t given even after Rashford scores from the advantage. Penalties are to Bruno what chastity is to a priest 😂😅#MUNBHA

I’m dead Fernandes said check VAR that’s a penalty.

Bruno Fernandes is so committed to penalties that he was still arguing with the referee even after Rashford scored

We scored but Bruno Fernandes was still asking for a Penalty 😂😂😂, Pernandes.

Fernandes still trying to get the penalty, even after United had scored. I’m surprised they weren’t given the penalty as well as the goal.
