Bruce Arians: Tom Brady ‘throwing the ball better than I’ve ever seen him throw it’

After retiring this offseason, Tom Brady shocked the football world by rejoining the Tampa Bay Buccaneers just six weeks after walking away from the game.

Brady believes he still has what it takes to play at a high level. And if the words from former head coach Bruce Arians are any indication, the 45-year-old seems primed for another Brady-like season, maybe even better.

Appearing on the “Pardon My Take” podcast, Arians said Brady was “throwing better now,” even at this stage of his career.

“He’s got great mechanics. He’s one of those full body throwers,” Arians said. “He’s not using just his arm. Tom is an amazing human being as far as taking care of himself. He’s throwing the ball better than I’ve ever seen him throw it.”

Brady recently returned to the team after an 11-day absence for “personal reasons.”

A Page Six report claims the unspecified absence was due to marital issues between Brady and his wife, Gisele Bündchen, stemming from his return to football.

“It’s all personal,” Brady told reporters after Saturday’s preseason finale against the Indianapolis Colts. “Everyone’s got different situations they’re dealing with. We all have really unique challenges to our life. I’m 45 years old, man. There’s a lot of s— going on.”
