Brock Purdy Names Area He Needs To Improve At In 2023

Purdy impressed the 49ers brass with his play in the ten games he saw action in his rookie campaign. During the regular and postseason, Purdy finished with 1,943 yards, 16 touchdowns, and four interceptions. Purdy still thinks he has much to improve on this offseason.

According to Tristi Rodriguez with NBC Sports, Purdy emphasized he needed his footwork to progress:

“Starting with the cons, just footwork,” Purdy said last Thursday on Fox Sports 910’s “Roc and Manuch with Jimmy B” when asked what some of the positives and negatives were of the 2022 season. “Being on time, every concept has its own timing. There were times last year where you could just tell I was still getting used to things, even when I was playing, the time of a slant with Brandon Aiyuk compared to Deeboe Samuel, they’re two different types of routes.

If Purdy can get his feet where he wants them, the 49ers could have their franchise quarterback.
