Body found in Comal County could be missing Spring Branch woman Shana DiMambro

According to a news release, Comal County Sheriff’s Office believes a body found in Spring Branch could be Shana DiMambro, a woman who went missing on July 19.

At around 7:50 p.m. the sheriff’s office went to the 200 block of Mitchell Drive in Spring Branch after receiving a call about a dead body found in the area, near DiMambro’s home and her last known location, the post says. The decomposed body led investigators to believe it could be DiMambro’s due to “specific physical characteristics.”

DiMambro’s family was informed about the found body possibly being hers. The remains were sent to Travis County to get a positive identification. The sheriff’s office says both the investigation into Dimambro’s disappearance and the identification of the dead body are ongoing.

DiMambro was last seen on July 19 at 7 p.m. at her home in the 100 block of Mitchell Drive in Spring Branch. DiMambro was wearing a white V-neck shirt, pink shorts and black flip flops. The 45-year-old woman was described as 5-feet 6-inches, roughly 140 pounds with brown hair, blue eyes and a light complexion, according to a news release.

If anyone has any information about DiMambro’s whereabouts call the Comal County Sheriff’s Office at 830-620-3400.
