Blazers Believe Trade Of Damian Lillard To Heat ‘Unlikely’
The Portland Trail Blazers consider a trade of Damian Lillard to the Miami Heat as “unlikely,” according to a source who spoke with the Portland front office over the past week.
The Heat have offered Tyler Herro and multiple future first round picks to the Blazers for Lillard. There has been limited dialogue in recent weeks between the two teams as both the Blazers and Heat have been entrenched with their trade positions.
Portland has been trying to manufacture a better deal from the Heat and are reportedly in talks with the Toronto Raptors.
Josh Lewenberg, who covers the Raptors for TSN, reported Monday that Toronto’s interest in Lillard “is real, albeit ‘a bit overstated at this point’.”
