Biden’s explosive anger: Letters to the Editor — July 14, 2023

The Issue: Reports that President Biden yells and curses at White House staffers in private.

Will the real Joe Biden please stand up (“The wicked curse of Joe Biden,” July 11)?

The latest reports of President Biden’s short temper and blow-ups behind closed doors are just further proof that this is not a man fit to lead this country.

Throughout his presidency, he has shown an inability to represent our country through words and action. His approval rating is under 40%. His public engagements have turned into SNL skits.

It’s only a matter of time until we witness an embarrassing blow-up in public.

We are getting another glimpse behind the carefully constructed facade of Biden. Very little about him is a surprise anymore.

The “grandfatherly” image was shattered when he boasted about how wonderful he is in that role, but his actions indicate he completely ignores Hunter’s illegitimate daughter.

He began his administration by saying anyone speaking to an employee punitively would be fired on the spot, but according to your article, he has a hair-trigger temper which he can’t control.

If the Democrats were smart (and that’s a big if), they would put their money on another horse and put this one out to pasture where he belongs.

Is there no one in power in that party that sees a problem with this corrupt individual?

I read “Indefensible” by Isaac Schorr, who writes that Biden’s outbursts and insults are “hampering the work of his administration” (PostOpinion, July 12).

The subtitle states, “There’s no excuse for Biden’s cruelty to staff.”

However, others saw his behavior as positive, so I am going to try out Biden’s style myself.

Hopefully, my husband will think I am extra sharp when I tell him, “Get the f - - k out of here.” Friends will know I’m in charge when I snap, “Don’t f - - king bulls - - t me!” And I bet my grandchildren will see me in a new light when I yell, “God dammit. How the f - - k don’t you know this?!”

I’ll let you know how it goes.

Biden claimed he was the great unifier. Biden said he would fire anyone who was inappropriate and unkind on his staff. He acted like he was the complete opposite of former President Donald Trump.

Well, folks, you’ve got a foul-mouthed, hair-triggered dementia patient. What a laughingstock we are to the world.

The Issue: Brad Polumbo on the effect of the Supreme Court’s decision against student-loan forgiveness.

I hope people with student loans were smart enough to take advantage of the three-year period in which interest wasn’t charged and continued to pay their loans (“A Phantom Disaster,” Brad Polumbo, PostOpinion, July 12).

It’s amazing how quickly the balance can be reduced without interest.

I also think that if the government wanted to help, it could reduce the interest it was charging on these same loans.

The Democrats’ strategy to make taxpayers pay for student debt rather than make college more affordable is deliberate. Treating the symptom and not the disease isn’t a bug, it’s a feature.

If the precedent of loan forgiveness is established, a decade from now, there will be a new generation of students who will demand that they, too, receive financial relief.

Student-loan forgiveness is a ploy to guarantee the Democratic Party a perpetual constituency.
