Becky Hammon to interview for Bucks head coaching job

She will be the first female ever interviewed for the position.

According to ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski, Spurs assistant coach Becky Hammon will be part of a large list of candidates who will be interviewed for the Milwaukee Bucks head coaching position. Although she is not considered a frontrunner, the NBA’s first female assistant coach will also become the first to interview for head coach, making this a historic occasion.

Also included on the Buck’s extensive list are Spurs assistant coaches Ettore Messina and James Borrego, as well as the front office’s Monty Williams. Messina and Borrego have also interviewed for the Charlotte Hornets job, where Borrego is considered a frontrunner.

Good luck to all the candidates, but don’t everyone leave at once on us!
