BCSO searching for man involved in armed carjacking, shooting

The Bexar County Sheriff’s Office is asking the public for help in locating a man accused of crashing into another vehicle before shooting at its occupants last week.

Officials say 29-year-old Keith Joseph Vaughn was driving in an area in East Bexar County on June 22 when he crashed into a vehicle head-on. He also hit two other vehicles as he jump out of his moving car.

He then started shooting at the occupants in the car he hit head-on and then fled the scene on foot before carjacking a vehicle at gunpoint in a nearby alley, BCSO said.

No one was injured by the gunfire.

Deputies have not located the Vaughn or the stolen vehicle. He is considered to be armed and dangerous.

Anyone with information about Vaughn’s whereabouts should call BCSO at 210-335-6000.

Vaughn will be charged with three counts of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon and one count of aggravated robbery, BCSO said.
