Austin Reaves Moved To Bench Role

In an attempt to find some lineup balance, and to maybe get one of their key players going, the Los Angeles Lakers moved Austin Reaves to a bench role. There was no indication from head coach Darvin Ham as to how permanent of a change this is.

Ham did say moving Reaves to the bench wasn’t a “demotion”, but instead is a “realignment”. Cam Reddish started in Reaves place.

The move had some immediate dividends for the Lakers, who won at the Phoenix Suns. Reaves scored 15 points off the bench, along with dishing out seven assists. Reddish scored 17 points in the start at Phoenix.
