Arkansas cop arrested after trying to have sex with undercover officer posing as underage girl

An Arkansas cop, who previously boasted that he is a figure young people look to, was arrested in Texas after he allegedly sought sex with an underage girl — who turned out to be an undercover officer, authorities said.

Texarkana, Arkansas police officer Telvin Wilson, 31, was among three suspects hit with charges last week tied to a sting operation conducted by police in the twin city of Texarkana, Texas. The two cities bear the same name and are next to each other along the Arkansas and Texas border.

Texas officers put a fake ad on a website known for prostitution and posed as an underage girl when the men replied to the ad, police said.

Even though the decoy told each of the men she was a minor, the three alleged creeps still wanted to meet up and pay for her sex, according to authorities.

“When the guys showed up and knocked, they were shocked when several police officers answered the door instead of the young girl they were expecting,” the Texarkana, Texas police said.

Wilson was charged with online solicitation of a minor (sexual conduct) and his bail was set at $100,000, cops said.

The Texarkana, Arkansas police department told Fox News Digital Wilson was fired right after officials learned about the arrest.

Wilson grew up in Texarkana, Texas and began his career with the Arkansas department in 2016, according to a spotlight about him posted on Facebook in February.

He said he liked being a figure “that our young people can come and talk to” in the post.

“I have always wanted to be that officer that is able to communicate with the public and be comfortable while doing so,” he said.

“I am a proud father of two, who I enjoy spending time with. When I am off duty I enjoy going to the gym and working out.”

The other two suspects arrested in the sting were Adarius Wills, 33, on charges of online solicitation of a minor (sexual conduct) and delivery of marijuana, and James Willis, 37, on charges of online solicitation of a minor (sexual conduct), delivery of a controlled substance, resisting arrest, evading arrest, abandoning/endangering a child with intent to return and possession of a controlled substance.
