Antonio Brown posts screenshot of alleged text where Tom Brady keeps it real

Antonio Brown posted a screenshot of a text message allegedly from Tom Brady on social media that we’re guessing didn’t have the intended impact Brown hoped it would.

In the message — which appears to be from May 10, 2021 — Brady, enjoying an afternoon off, sent Brown a lengthy message with some tough, necessary words for the chaotic wide receiver.

“You are demonstrating very poor decisions and poor communication to so many people who have gone above and beyond to help you,” begins the text.

Brady is alleged to have then said, “you are acting selfishly and unfortunately many of those people are exhausted by the erratic and predictable emotional behavior.”

It’s hard to imagine Brown thought this would paint him in a sympathetic light — or Brady negatively — but that’s where we seemingly are.

Brown was at one point the best receiver in football. He had 1,200 yards in six consecutive seasons from 2013-2018 as a member of the Pittsburgh Steelers. Things first started going downhill in 2019 after a trade to the then-Oakland Raiders. There were frost-bitten feet and dramatic
videos, and his career fully imploded when he stripped down to his pants and walked off the field as a member of the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in 2021.

Brady was his quarterback in his last three years in the NFL. As much as he tried to be a good friend, for whatever reason Brown wasn’t receptive to his kindness and is out of the league for good.

It’s tough to see someone become so self-destructive, especially when there was a helping hand right there. With all the bridges Brown has burned, there’s no way for him to make his way back.
