‘All that I can think about’: Texas leaders respond to video showing police shooting of Adam Toledo
Outrage and heartbreak followed the release of body camera footage showing the moment 13-year-old Adam Toledo was shot and killed by a Chicago police officer.
The video was released on Thursday and quickly spread throughout the country. Texas leaders took to Twitter to respond to what they saw.

The fatal shooting of Toledo, a Latino teen, by Officer Eric Stillman, a white man, adds to the heightened tensions surrounding policing throughout the country, especially in Black and Brown communities. Stillman was responding to a call in Little Village at 3 a.m. on March 29. Stillman’s body cam footage shows him chasing the teen down an alley, yelling at him to stop. Soon after Toledo faces the officer with his hands in the air, Stillman fires the deadly shot.

The officer is currently on administrative leave, according to NBC Chicago.
