Alisson has given his verdict on the row that ensued on the field between him and Liverpool teammate Jordan Henderson in their goalless draw with Chelsea.
Jurgen Klopp’s side rode their luck at times during the game, and almost gifted Chelsea the victory after a bit of miscommunication between Alisson and his Brazilian compatriot Fabinho at the back.
Not one shy to hide his thoughts, Henderson berated the keeper inside their own penalty area leading to an angry exchange between the pair.
The two squared up while staring at each other face-to-face before defender Joel Matip had to intervene so the pair could separate and Alisson could take his goal-kick.
Alisson told ESPN Brazil, as per the Mirror, that he and Henderson are ‘two people who fight’ and that their argument was due to them both being keen to fix what has been a difficult season for the Reds.

The two appeared furious with each other as the game got back underway and they claimed a point
He said: ‘Me and Henderson, we are two people who fight, who give our lives for their team. And on the field, there is no way to ask “please?”
‘So sometimes it seems that the mood is high, but it’s two people trying to fix it, do things in the best way for the team and try to help. Of course, it’s been difficult, it’s been a great challenge [this season].
‘We are human beings and we feel as much as anyone else. We get frustrated when something negative happens. We rejoice when we are well. But football, the difference is that we can’t spend a long time lamenting because that’s the good side of football.
‘When things are going badly, two, three days after a match that the team doesn’t play well, there’s already an opportunity that can show again. So that’s our challenge this season. Each game will show our real quality and play together as a team.’
Stuart Pearce, working for talkSPORT, said the incident ‘stemmed’ from Saturday’s 4-1 loss to Man City, with Liverpool players showing frustration at their current plight.
Another such incident, also involving Henderson, occurred in the first half when the former Sunderland midfielder screamed at Matip for not passing him the ball quickly enough when he had got himself into a good position in the right outside channel.

It wouldn’t be a surprise if there have been plenty of arguments behind the scenes in what has been a frustrating season for Liverpool after success over recent seasons
Matip appeared more placable than the Brazilian, however.
‘It stems from Saturday, you can see the frustration there and on this occasion you’re looking at such a poor miss [from Felix],’ he said.
Liverpool, who are visited by league leaders Arsenal on Sunday, have experienced a difficult season, with the squad having been unable to get anywhere near the same level of performance that they had come to be known for.
It has been a campaign beset by inconsistency, injury and issues related to uncertainty within the squad.
Given Liverpool’s issues this season, it would be no surprise if there have been many arguments behind the scenes at Anfield.
