The San Francisco 49ers are the latest team linked with free-agent wide receiver Odell Beckham Jr. ahead of November.

Per David Bonilla of 49ers WebZone, ESPN NFL insider Adam Schefter was asked during Monday’s edition of “The Pat McAfee Show” if Beckham could consider joining the Niners if they have a winning record when he’s ready to return to action.

“I’ll say this: I’ve wondered that,” Schefter explained. “If they keep winning, why would they not look at him? They were interested in him last year. I think he’d like to be in L.A., but look, [the 49ers] surely could use another wide receiver. They’ve had a lot of injuries.

“Yesterday, they were down to basically [Brandon] Aiyuk. Jauan Jennings didn’t play, Deebo Samuel didn’t play. They were short at that spot anyway. To me, that’s an intriguing match, and we’ll find out whether the two sides both feel the same way we all do.”

New acquisition Christian McCaffrey made 49ers history when he recorded a rushing, receiving and passing touchdown in the club’s 31-14 win over the Los Angeles Rams, Beckham’s most-recent employer, on Sunday that improved San Francisco to 4-4 heading into its bye week.

Beckham, of course, originally signed with the Rams last November and tallied 27 receptions for 305 yards and five touchdowns over eight regular-season contests. He went on to record 21 catches for 288 yards and two scores during the playoffs before he suffered a torn anterior cruciate ligament in his left knee during Los Angeles’ Super Bowl LVI win over the Cincinnati Bengals and may not be cleared to play this season until some point in the middle of December.

The 49ers join a list of teams that includes the Rams, New York Giants,  Green Bay Packers, Kansas City Chiefs, and Dallas Cowboys as potential landing spots for the three-time Pro Bowl selection.

After the break, San Francisco hosts the Los Angeles Chargers (4-3) on Nov. 13.
