AC Milan and Juventus played out a goalless stalemate at San Siro, with both sides canceling each other out in a tightly contested Serie A encounter.

The match between AC Milan and Juventus at Stadio Giuseppe Meazza on April 26 delivered little in terms of goals but plenty of defensive discipline. Milan entered the fixture third in the table with 66 points from 33 games, while Juventus sat fourth with 63 points. Both teams needed points to maintain their push toward the top of Serie A.

Juventus started brightly and controlled much of the opening exchanges. The visitors dominated possession early on, moving the ball with precision and intent. Milan defended deep, content to hit on the counter-attack in the opening stages.

In the 20th minute, Juventus defender Andrea Cambiaso picked up the first yellow card of the match for a rash challenge. The booking set the tone for what would become a cagey affair. Milan began to settle into the game as the first half progressed.

Milan’s Davide Bartesaghi received a yellow card in the 38th minute after a foul on a Juventus attacker. The home side remained compact and organized, making it difficult for Juventus to create clear-cut chances. Mike Maignan in the Milan goal remained largely untroubled.

The first half ended without either team finding the back of the net. Milan managed just one shot on target from eight total attempts. Juventus fared better with five shots on target from ten total efforts. The visitors held 52 percent possession but could not convert their territorial advantage into goals.

The second half saw both teams push for the opening goal, but neither could break the deadlock. Juventus winger Francisco Conceição caused problems for Milan’s defense, firing four shots at goal with three on target. His threat down the right flank troubled the home side throughout.

As the match wore on, both teams grew frustrated with the lack of clear opportunities. Juventus midfielder Manuel Locatelli received a yellow card in the 86th minute for dissent. Milan’s Álvaro Morata and Juventus forwards pressed hard but found little space to exploit.

Juventus defender Bremer produced a solid display at the back, making crucial interceptions when needed. Milan’s defense held firm despite sustained pressure from the visitors. Maignan made five saves to keep his team level.

The statistics reflected a tight contest. Juventus created an expected goals total of 0.45 compared to Milan’s 0.61. Both teams committed fouls but avoided serious trouble, with Milan receiving two yellow cards and Juventus three. The visitors completed 92 percent of their 478 passes, while Milan managed 87 percent accuracy from 443 attempts.

The draw leaves Milan third with 67 points from 34 games, while Juventus remains fourth with 64 points from the same number of matches. Both teams will look to return to winning ways in their next Serie A fixtures as the season enters its final stretch.
