A deadly San Antonio crash halts traffic on 1604 and Highway 90

The Bexar County Sheriff’s Office has issued a traffic alert for Loop 1604. Officials are currently investigating a car accident that occurred on Thursday, January 13, according to a Facebook post.
The fatal crash occurred around 2 p.m. at the intersection of Loop 1604 W and FM 143, south of Highway 90 and Loop 1604. For several hours, all southbound traffic on Loop 1604 and Highway 90 will be shutdown, preventing traffic flow.
Northbound traffic will also be shutdown at Loop 1604 and Macdona-Lacoste Road. The sheriff’s office advises drivers to designate an alternate route during their Thursday afternoon and evening commutes, as this area will be impacted for an undetermined amount of time.
No further details about the victims of the crash are available at this time.
