Seemingly, there is very little Luka Doncic cannot accomplish on a basketball court. The Los Angeles Lakers superstar continued his scorching start to the season on Friday against the Portland Trail Blazers, once again leaving fans amazed with an unbelievable play.
Just before halftime, Doncic somehow connected on an incredible buzzer-beater from near the opposite three-point line, sending Lakers fans into a frenzy with a shot that immediately became one of the night’s biggest highlights. Even Bruce Springsteen couldn’t believe what he just witnessed.

However, that remarkable shot was only one part of another spectacular performance from Luka. Before the game even reached its end, the Slovenian superstar had already made history by recording his fourth consecutive 40-point game.
With that achievement, he joined Lakers legends Elgin Baylor, Kobe Bryant and George Mikan as the only players in franchise history to accomplish the feat during the regular season.
Even head coach JJ Redick openly admitted that he would need to spend some time thinking of new ways to praise his superstar because he has already exhausted the words available to him.
“Sure. I’m gonna just sit around and will gather one day, come up with more superlatives so I have more words ready. But for now, I don’t have any words,” Redick said after the win.
Behind Doncic’s dominant display, the Lakers secured a 124-118 victory over the Trail Blazers on Friday night. Despite struggling to find their rhythm during the opening half, Los Angeles responded with another outstanding performance from its superstar to extend its winning streak to four games and improve its record to 8-2.
Doncic finished the game with 53 points, five rebounds and five assists. The Lakers superstar has now accumulated 180 points over his last four games and is averaging 40.1 points per game through nine appearances this season.
