Open Thread: Cameron Brink shares a funny story from her visit to a Spurs game
Los Angeles Sparks star Cameron Brink came to San Antonio last season to catch a game. She recently shared a funny story with Sydel Curry-Lee on her Straight to Cam podcast. The moment involved her mom’s reaction to Devin Vassell three-pointer while in attendance at that Spurs game.
“But the funniest thing was… Um, there’s this guy on the Spurs, his name is Devin Vassell. Whenever he makes a three, he does a celebration where he takes his fingers and he’ll put it over his eye, kind of. And all of a sudden, my mom’s like, ‘Kind of looks like he’s doing…’ No, she literally did it, courtside! Cameras on us, me mic’d up, and I just look at her and I’m like… I remember just like turning bright red. I was like, ‘Mom!’”
It just goes to show, you never know when the camera is on and the Jumbotron is live.
