The Spurs’ dynamic duo of the future dropped 30+ points apiece.

Coming off a tough loss to the Orlando Magic this past Saturday, the Spurs took on the Washington Wizards as the Rodeo Road Trip continues. After going on a 22-0 run during the first quarter, the Spurs only took a 40-30 lead after one. The Wizards went on a run of their own and outscored the Spurs 33-26 in the second. The third quarter was offense-heavy for both teams as the Spurs led 100-96 going into the fourth. After some close calls, the Spurs finally built some cushion on their lead, ultimately winning 131-121.

Victor Wembanyama had a fantastic game with 31 points, 15 rebounds, four assists, three blocks, and two steals. He played a team-high 38 minutes, including the entire fourth quarter, in what is sure to be an encouraging sign heading into the ASB. He appeared to be more active on offense and had a few pick-and-roll connections with his new all-star running mate in De’Aaron Fox.

Wemby mania happened during the first quarter. Wemby drained three threes on three straight possessions!

Too easy! Wemby posts up his fellow Frenchman in Bilal Coulibaly and spins off of him for the easy slam!

This stat is ridiculous. This game marked 84 straight games with a rejection! Go Wemby Go! DPOY is waiting for you…

You love to see it! Fox and Wemby pick-and-roll results in a lob to Wemby!

Too tall! After Wemby posts up Jordan Poole, he falls down and Wemby just simply finishes it over Coulibaly!

DAGGER. Wemby finishes off the Wizards with a one-footed jumper off the glass!

De’Aaron Fox dropped his Spurs season high with 30 points, six assists, four rebounds, and a steal. After a rough game against the Magic, Fox was determined to push the pace and get into the paint by shooting 15 of 18 from the free-throw line. This will be the first of many Fox 30-balls.

4TH QUARTER MAGIC! De’Aaron got into his bag in the fourth by hitting clutch shot after clutch shot!

After a p&r with Wemby, De’Aaron is on the receiving end of a Wemby assist!

Stephon Castle had a solid game with 16 points, three steals, two assists, and a rebound in 20 minutes. Still coming off the bench, but providing an impact on both ends of the floor. His pickpocketing skills were on full display with this steal of Kyshawn George that ended in a breakaway slam!

Jeremy Sochan had a solid all-around game with 14 points, five rebounds, three assists, and three steals. Despite the Spurs signing Bismack Biyombo as their backup center, he did not play tonight. Instead, Jeremy continued to play as the backup center, but he also got some minutes at power forward with Wemby on the court. Hopefully next game, Jeremy will be able to stop playing out of position.

With the left! Jeremy takes Tristan Vukcevic to the hole and finishes with a lefty hook shot!

AND-ONE! Wemby delivers a great pass to Jeremy under the basket for the and-one!

Harrison Barnes dropped 12 points and five rebounds while also showing the young guns that he can still deliver a dunk with emphasis!

Devin Vassell dropped seven points, three rebounds, and a dime.

Corner specialist! Wemby finds Devin in the corner towards the end of the first for the three!

Deja vu? Wemby finds Dev once again in the corner for a splash!

Julian Champagnie dropped six points and a dime. Even though the finish wasn’t clean, this is still an and-one poster!

Funny moment of the game: Justin Champagnie of the Wizards nailed a three over Julian (his twin brother) and stared him down. Julian couldn’t help but smile.

Even though this was a double-digit win, it felt like a close game for most of it. When you’re playing a depleted Wizards team, you’re expected to take care of business early. It looked like the Spurs were on pace to do so in the first, but puzzling rotations let the Wizards back into the game. Sooner or later, coach Mitch Johnson is going to have to bench Chris Paul for either Steph or Jeremy.

Finally, here are the full game highlights.

The Spurs take on the Boston Celtics in TD Garden this Wednesday at 6:00 P.M. (CST) on ESPN/CWSA.
