49ers signing former Panthers safety Myles Hartsfield to one-year deal

Matt Barrows of The Athletic notes that the 49ers gave Hartsfield a one-year deal.

The Carolina Panthers signed Hartsfield (5-11, 210) as an undrafted free agent out of Ole Miss in 2020. He registered 59 tackles, two tackles for a loss, a quarterback hit, two passes defensed, and a forced fumble through 15 game appearances (10 starts) with the Panthers last season, per Pro Football Reference.

Hartsfield, 25, has recorded 118 tackles, five tackles for a loss, two quarterback hits, a sack, seven passes defensed, and a forced fumble in 41 game appearances (19 starts) through his three NFL seasons.
