49ers QB Brock Purdy announces engagement to girlfriend Jenna Brandt
The San Francisco 49ers have seen their quarterback situation aired out over the entire offseason, headlined by starter Brock Purdy’s torn UCL injury sustained during the NFC Championship Game.
However, that wasn’t the reason why Purdy was in the news on Sunday.
The 49ers quarterback announced his engagement to girlfriend Jenna Brandt in an Instagram post Sunday, sharing a heartful message and his proposal.
“My Jenna girl forever. I can’t wait to be your husband and grow together in Christ,” Purdy wrote. “Here’s to forever babe. I love you JB!”
Several of his 49ers teammates, as well as 49ers legend Jerry Rice, shared their congratulations in the comments section for the newly engaged couple.
It’s been a whirlwind year for Purdy, who was selected with the final pick of the 2022 NFL Draft, but saw action during his rookie season following season-ending injuries to Trey Lance and Jimmy Garoppolo, leading the team to the NFC Championship Game, and breaking records along the way.
While it’s currently unclear whether Purdy will be ready for Week 1, his recovery appears to be going on schedule, and he now has a significant milestone off the field to celebrate as well.
