49ers-Dolphins Injury Report: Arik Armstead plans to play Sunday; No Deebo at practice; McCaffrey, Omenihu return

Running back Christian McCaffrey joined practice for the first time this week. He missed Wednesday’s session due to “some irritation” in his knee. After practice, McCaffrey told reporters, “I feel great,” essentially indicating that he, too, intends to be on the field on Sunday against the Dolphins.

Defensive end Charles Omenihu returned to practice after missing Wednesday’s session due to a knee issue. Guard Spencer Burford also returned to practice. He could not join his teammates on Wednesday after suffering an ankle sprain against the New Orleans Saints.

Wide receiver Deebo Samuel did not practice after being limited on Wednesday due to a quad injury.
