49ers announce roster moves ahead of NFC Championship Game vs. Eagles; Dre Greenlaw fined

The San Francisco 49ers have announced the following roster moves ahead of their NFC Championship Game matchup against the Philadelphia Eagles.

Elevated (standard) from the practice squad to the active roster:

  • RB Tevin Coleman
  • CB Janoris Jenkins

On Friday, the 49ers only ruled out one player, quarterback Jimmy Garoppolo (foot), for Sunday’s game. However, two players, running back Elijah Mitchell (groin) and cornerback Ambry Thomas (ankle), were listed as “questionable” to play.

The 49ers and Eagles kick off from Lincoln Financial Field on Sunday at noon Pacific (3 p.m. Eastern). The winner advances to face the AFC champion in Super Bowl 57.

NFL fines Greenlaw

According to NFL insider Ian Rapoport, the NFL fined 49ers linebacker Dre Greenlaw $10,609 for unnecessary roughness. The fine is due to a late hit out of bounds on running back Zeke Elliot during last weekend’s 19-12 playoff win over the Dallas Cowboys.
