Bowles said that Tom Brady along with the rest of the healthy offensive starters would start against the Colts. The aim, Bowles said, will be for Brady to build a rapport with his offensive line, per The Athletic, which has taken a few hits this preseason.

Tampa Bay has lost center Ryan Jensen to a season-ending injury early in camp. They have also seen left guard Aaron Stinnie land on injury reserve for the year after a torn ACL/MCL.

Bowles said that Second-round rookie Luke Goedeke will start at left guard against Indianapolis.

Tom Brady’s camp hiatus came to an end in the week as he has worked his way back into form. By indicating that when you factor in veteran’s days off, Tom Brady only missed three practices. Bowles downplayed Tom Brady’s time away from the team.

When Bowles was asked how Tom Brady’s absence affected the operation, he said “we’re good”.

This will be Tom Brady’s first preseason action this year. Brady appeared in the Bucs’ first and third preseason games in 2021. Started both games and attempting a total of 16 passes prior to the regular-season opener.
