Trevor Lawrence and the Jacksonville Jaguars showed plenty of promise in the first half of the 2022 season. They had some shortcomings going 2-6 to start the season, many of which were self-inflicted as they went on a five-game losing streak. Every game on that losing streak was by one score, as the largest margin of defeat was eight points.

One break here or there or not committing a boneheaded penalty could have easily resulted in a victory. Another issue that the team had to overcome was the underwhelming quarterback play by Trevor Lawrence.

Lawrence struggled mightily in October as the Jaguars went 0-5. He completed only 57.8 percent of his passes for 1,068 yards, four touchdowns and five interceptions. It was certainly disappointing as Lawrence came out on fire to start the season, completing 69.4 percent of his passes for 772 yards, six touchdowns and one interception as the Jaguars went 2-1 to kick things off.

But, once the calendar turned to November, something began to click for Lawrence. He started to look like the franchise quarterback the Jaguars believed they were getting when they used the No. 1 overall pick in the 2021 NFL Draft on him.

Since Week 9, Lawrence has been one of the best quarterbacks in the league. According to PFF, he is leading the league in competition percentage over that time, connecting 70.4 percent of his attempts. He is tied for second with 14 passing touchdowns, has thrown only one interception and is first in passer rating at 111.2.
