3 Things That Could Cause Aaron Donald To Retire Next Offseason

During the 2022 offseason, the Los Angeles Rams had a scare with defensive end Aaron Donald.

Because of an interview he did, some people would believe the Rams’ defensive powerhouse would be retiring.

However, shortly after that fateful interview, Donald would sign a contract extension with Los Angeles.

While the deal keeps him in Los Angeles until the 2025 season, 2024 is a potential out year with his contract.

But even with the out year being in 2024, there’s three things that could cause him to retire in 2023.

3. A Major Injury This Season Could Make Him Change His Mind About Staying In The NFL

Injuries in the NFL factor into players’ choices with retirement.

It would be no different with Donald.

While he’s never missed an NFL game because of an injury, 2021 saw him get banged up in games.

The first injury he would face in 2021 came during a playoff game in January of that year.
