Three people were killed, including a child, after a rollover crash on San Antonio’s Northeast Side late Sunday, January 8, according to the San Antonio Police Department. Police said they found a woman, man, and child dead on arrival.

According to the police, the crash occurred around 10 p.m. at the intersection of Thousand Oaks Drive and Alamo Blanco Street, near Perrin Beitel and Bulverde Road. Police said a red Nissan Sedan was T-boned by a Silver Jeep Gran Cherokee when it was crossing Thousand Oaks Drive.

Police said the Nissan made an unsafe left turn toward Alamo Blanco and failed to yield the right of way to the Jeep, causing the T-boned.

The impact caused the Nissan to roll over and slam into a utility pole, knocking down both the pole and some power lines. Officials with the San Antonio Fire Department attempted to rescue the three people in the Nissan but were found dead on arrival, police said.

Officials transported the two other people in the Jeep to the hospital as a precaution. The driver of the Jeep remained at the scene, was not intoxicated and cooperated with the investigation, police said.

None of the victims have yet been identified and police are still investigating the crash.

Relatives at the scene told KSAT that the victims were siblings, a 20-year-old woman with her two brothers, ages 10 and 17. The relatives told the TV station that they were on their way to a nearby store to get medicine for their mother. They were only a few blocks from home, the station reported.

The San Antonio Police Department, the San Antonio Fire Department, and emergency vehicles responded to the incident.
