3 Crazy Stats For Cowboys Since Dak Prescott Returned

A lot of credit for the Dallas Cowboys being where they are right now should be given to Cooper Rush. Rush stepped into the starting lineup after Dak Prescott injured his thumb in the season opener and many people thought that their season was already over. That ended up not being close to true.

Rush won his first four starts of the season, not only keeping the team afloat but helping them thrive. The defense playing at a high level certainly helped, but Rush did everything he was asked of to put the team in a position to win and he succeeded.

Alas, in the matchup against the Philadelphia Eagles, in which the Cowboys lost 26-17, it was evident that Prescott was needed for this team to reach its full potential. With Prescott under center, this offense could be truly explosive and since his return, that is exactly what has happened.

There was a little rust that needed to be knocked off after missing five weeks, but the offense has looked better and better each game with Prescott back in the lineup. He is completing 71 percent of his pass attempts for 1,429 yards and 13 touchdowns in six games.

They are beginning to reach their expectations as they have been arguably the best offense in the NFL since Prescott’s return to the lineup. According to PFF, since Prescott has come back, the Cowboys have a 42.4 touchdown drive percentage, which is first in the NFL. The 37.2 points per game are also first and their 411 yards per game are second most.
