10 stats and facts to know ahead of Liverpool’s trip to Leeds

The Reds journey to Yorkshire on Monday night for an 8pm BST kick-off under the floodlights at Elland Road.

Here are 10 facts and figures to know before the game…

Liverpool have won 17 of the 29 Premier League meetings between the teams home and away, drawing five and losing seven.

The Reds are unbeaten on their last seven visits to Elland Road in all competitions and the last five in the league since losing 4-3 in November 2000.

Last season Jürgen Klopp’s side won this fixture 3-0 with Mohamed Salah among the scorers – his 100th Premier League goal.

Salah has scored seven goals in five Premier League appearances against Leeds for Liverpool. No Reds player has more in the competition (Robbie Fowler also netted seven), while only Gordon Hodgson has more in league history (nine goals).

Liverpool’s next goal against Leeds will be their 200th versus the Yorkshire club in all competitions.

Victory on Monday night would bring up the Reds’ 250th away win in the Premier League era.

James Milner made 54 appearances for Leeds between 2002 and 2004, scoring five times.

Liverpool have scored on each of their last nine visits to Leeds in all competitions – a club record.

Hodgson (in 1935), Roger Hunt (1961) and Salah (2020) are the only Reds ever to have scored a hat-trick against Leeds – all three at Anfield and in the league. No Liverpool player has ever notched a treble away at Leeds.

Javi Gracia was appointed Leeds manager on February 21; in his seven league games so far the Spaniard’s team have earned 10 points, winning three times.
