‘Wildly Overrated’ ‘He’d Be A Great Signing’ Fans On Twitter Discuss Whether City Will Hijack United’s Move For Playmaker
Manchester City are weighing up a move for Aston Villa captain Jack Grealish if they do sell Leroy Sane to Bayern Munich this summer, according to reports in the English media.
The 24-year-old has been heavily linked with a switch to rivals Manchester United in recent months, but City boss Pep Guardiola is a big fan of the midfielder and is keen on him moving to the Etihad.
Grealish would not be seen as a direct replacement for Sane, with Guardiola having already stated he does not see the need to fill the void left by the German if he leaves.
However, the playmaker could fill a number of different positions in midfield. Fans on Twitter are not sure whether a move for the player is a good idea:
Wildly overrated, not least by himself.

He’d be a great signing, I’d honestly love him playing left wing for us

I prefer sane a hell of a lot more but I would like grealish as a replacement of sane leaves.

I think he’ll become ten times the player in Pep’s squad. If Pep rates him, that’s all the convincing I need. Had Sanchez stuck to agreement with Pep, he’d be a better player, enjoying his football and winning medals.

He’ll be expensive

Guardiola has spoken publicly about his admiration for Grealish on a number of occasions so it isn’t a surprise that he is on the club’s radar. Whether the Villa star is someone the team needs, though, it is up for debate.
