Projected Number One Pick Anthony Edwards Declares for NBA Draft

Potential number one pick Anthony Edwards has declared for
the 2020 NBA Draft per Evan
Daniels of 247 Sports.

Edwards is declaring as an Early Entry candidate after his
freshman season at the University of Georgia. In one college campaign, Edwards
averaged 19.1 points, 5.2 rebounds, 2.8 assists and 1.3 steals in 32 games.

Since the start of the 2019-20 season, Edwards has moved up to the top of draft boards. He’s now the top-ranked prospect by almost all draft analysts.

At 6-foot-3, Edwards has the size, strength and quickness to be
a lockdown perimeter defender. He needs to focus more on that end of the floor,
but the skills are all there.

Offensively, Edwards needs to improve his decision-making and ball handling. He’s got the athleticism and strength to get to wherever he wants on the floor. Edwards is a streaky shooter, but his form is solid.
