Evacuees arrive in San Antonio, second plane was expected

Nearly 100 cruise ship passengers arrived Tuesday night for quarantine at Joint Base San Antonio-Lackland, and a second planeload was expected, possibly bringing the total to as many as 380 evacuees — a number far larger than state and local officials initially expected.
Besides the influx of another wave of evacuees, Lackland is about to undergo another jolt: The Air Force is suspending family gatherings at its weekly basic military graduation exercises until further notice to lower the risk of coronavirus transmission.
