Alamo Plaza will be closed for a third night as protests in the wake of George Floyd’s death continue.
The plaza will be closed to vehicular and pedestrian traffic beginning at 7 p.m. Monday, remaining in effect until 6 a.m. Tuesday, the city announced via social media.
The closure is precautionary to minimize the possibility of civil disturbance and damage to sensitive structures, officials said.
As of 5:30 p.m., about 10 protesters could be seen near the plaza holding signs.
