According to the Bexar County Sheriff’s Office an inmate has died of pneumonia on Saturday evening.
The department announced that 59-year-old Lindsey Turiano passed away at at 7:08 p.m. at University Hospital.
Turiano was awaiting trial after arrested for murder on August 22, 2019. He had recently been found incompetent to stand trial in February of 2020 before he was admitted to University Hospital in March of 2020 after his health deteriorated, according to officials.
He remained in the hospital under a physician’s care before his death.
