Open Thread: Spurs announce sponsorship with Shiner
Per a Spurs press release:
The San Antonio Spurs announced a new partnership with Shiner ‘Shine, a full-bodied moonshine produced by Shiner Texas Spirits in Shiner, Texas. The partnership will include a new branded bar in the Frost Club and specialty craft cocktails, among additional assets.
Said Nick Weiland, Shiner Marketing Director,
“Both Shiner and the Spurs are beloved Texas institutions, and we’re proud to partner with such a great organization. With this new partnership we’re going to bring a completely unique experience to Frost Bank Center, with the Shiner ‘Shine bar serving a range of cocktails featuring our Texas spin on a beloved spirit.”
Plans to open the ‘Shine Bar in early 2026 promises to bring a different flare to the Frost Club.
Frank Miceli, Chief Commercial Officer at Spurs Sports & Entertainment stated,
“Shiner shares our deep Texas roots and we’re glad to bring on Shiner ‘Shine to amp up our beverage offerings for fans. This partnership is cause for celebration for both brands, and we’ll be toasting it with a delicious specialty craft cocktail.”
Beginning this fall, specialty Shiner ‘Shine cocktails will become part of Frost Bank Center’s monthly, arena-wide Feature Cocktail rotation including the “Coyote Kick.”
