Open Thread: Happy birthday to Jamaree Bouyea
The Spurs two-way guard hits the quarter-century mark
Today Spurs guard Jamaree Bouyea turns twenty-five-years-old. If you do not immediately recognize Bouyea’s name, you might not be alone.
The former San Francisco Don’s baller, a two-time First-team All-WCC (Western Coast Conference), went undrafted in 2022. He spent most of 2022-2023 in the G-League, earning recognition as NBA G-League Al-Rookie Team and All-NBA G-League Second Team in 2023.
In March of this year, the San Antonio Spurs took notice and signed him to a two-way contract. Although he only played in three games, he did suit up as #15, making him the the seventeenth player to wear quince, the first since Joe Wieskamp.
With the draft taking place yesterday and today, there is no telling the future of Bouyea.
But for today, Jamaree is a member of the Silver & Black.
Happy birthday!
