A man is dead after a shooting on the West Side, according to San Antonio police.
SAPD responded to the shooting just after 9 p.m. Thursday at the intersection of West Poplar Street and North Hamilton Avenue.
The victim, a man in his 40s, was on a bike when two men approached him and shot multiple times, according to police.
After the shooting, both of the suspects fled on foot. The victim was taken to the hospital and pronounced dead, police said.
During SAPD’s investigation, KSAT witnessed multiple shell casings on the ground.
It is also unclear how many times the victim was shot.
