We’ve arrived at the Spurs’ first true Wemby offseason, the front office’s first crack at beginning to shape the future around their cornerstone. What will that look like on draft night?

What does the future hold? And what sense is there in fretting over anything for even a second that you can’t mold and determine yourself? If you’ve ever asked yourself that last question then sports fandom may not be for you.

For the rest of you, as in years past, we’ve charted out every possibility for the upcoming NBA draft in an easily digestible diagram for you to seek out your own truth as it relates to what I imagine is your preferred basketball team, the San Antonio Fightin’ Spurs.

The Spurs enter the 2024 draft with picks 4, 8, 35 and 48, a warchest of future assets, and numerous holes to plug in their fledgling roster. It’s not an exciting draft in the way of prospects expected to change the fate of a franchise, but as has been pointed out by many, even a down year like 2013 gave us talents like Giannis Antetokounmpo and Rudy Gobert.

With some savvy scouting, a bit of luck and, perhaps, deft maneuvering on draft night, the Spurs could unearth another future star by following one of the paths below.
