FORECAST
A slow moving front, an upper level low, and moisture from the remnants of Hurricane Polo will bring San Antonio and most of Texas some much-needed rain. However, it may be too much of a good thing for some areas, so a Flood Watch is in place tonight through Friday.
Remember: A “watch” means the ingredients for flooding are present, so we’re “watching” the weather closely. A “warning” means that flooding is happening or will begin soon, so you should take action to avoid flooded roads. You should have a way to get warnings if flooding starts.

HEAVY RAIN THURSDAY
Thursday remains our best chance for rain, as the slow-moving front makes it way closer to the I-35 corridor. Moisture is stacked in the atmosphere, meaning any storm that develops will put down very heavy rainfall. Street flooding is a concern in the urban areas, while we will closely monitor creeks and streams.
The highest risk for flooding appears to be during the first half of Thursday, but redevelopment Thursday night into Friday morning could also be problematic.
RAIN LINGERS ON FRIDAY
While rain Friday morning could lead to additional flooding, rain will lighten during the second part of the day.
SHOWERS THIS WEEKEND
More scattered activity is expected over the weekend, but activity will be light and intermittent, so flooding is not a concern. Fall-like weather is in the forecast for next week.
