TEMPS CLIMB TO NEAR 100°
We’ll be on the cusp of triple digits today, with plenty of sunshine and no threat of rain. During the peak heating hours of 3-7pm, heat index values will jump over 100° and could rise as high as 104°.
SAHARAN DUST
A plume of Saharan dust arrives to South Texas Thursday. While the plume shouldn’t be too thick, you’ll notice skies may not be as blue. Another plume is forecast to arrive this weekend.
THE PERSEIDS ARE HERE!
The Perseid meteor shower, an annual event, will peak Wednesday night into Thursday. The new moon will help with seeing the meteors, however, you’ll have to get away from city lights and we’ll have to keep an eye on clouds. Low clouds may try to roll in by early Thursday morning.
