43 assists for the Spurs was the fuel to drive the ultimate homecoming for Wemby.

Coming off a rough loss to the Miami Heat this past Sunday, the Spurs traveled to Paris, France for two games against the Indiana Pacers. Jeremy Sochan made his return from injury, so the Spurs were finally back at full strength. The first half was a drag race. Tough buckets on both sides were going down, but then the Spurs flipped a switch in the third quarter. Instead of letting the third be their downfall like in previous games, the Spurs outscored the Pacers 45-23, and never looked back. They ultimately won 140-110.

Victor Wembanyama had a spectacular performance, dropping 30 points, 11 rebounds, six assists, five blocks, and a steal. He was efficient from the field, shooting 13 of 21. He also made dazzling highlight after dazzling highlight on both ends of the floor and seemed to play with more joy than ever before. For those hoping Wemby would ball out in front of his home country, he balled out and then some.

Let’s kick things off with a block party! Wemby blocks Myles Turner’s dunk off the backboard and it results in a Harrison Barnes layup on the other end!

Instant bucket! Devin finds Wemby under the basket for the one of the easiest slams of the night!

Limitless Range from the logo! Wemby sinks the transition three from the logo! (The logo is pretty long).

Bust a move! Wemby puts the behind-the-back move on Myles Turner, recovers the loose ball, and slams it home like it was nothing!

This 2-minute Wemby sequence went viral on X. It was reposted on mainstream accounts with many takes spouting their undivided and full attention to the future of this alien superstar. Block after block, lobs to and from Jeremy, take a look!

WHY NOT? After the insane 2 minute sequence, Wemby gets into the paint and throws himself a self alley-oop off the glass!

In case you wanted extra Wemby highlights…

Devin Vassell had an efficient game as the second option: 25 points on 9 of 13 shooting, four assists, three rebounds, two steals, and two blocks. When Devin has an efficient game, it’s good news for the silver and black.

It’s simple. He’s a bucket-getter. Dev beats the halftime buzzer by pulling out the moves on Turner and shooting a one- legged middy!

Dev with the D! Dev blocks Tyrese Haliburton’s three-point attempt and it results in a Keldon Johnson three on the other end!

Harrison Barnes had a solid game with 20 points, seven rebounds, three assists, and two steals. HB continues to prove how valuable of a veteran asset he’s been to this young team.

After the Wemby chasedown block, HB drives past Pascal Siakam for the reverse layup!

Jeremy Sochan returned from injury and dropped 13 points, nine rebounds, and three assists in 18 minutes. His performance as a glue guy on both ends of the floor should quiet the “trade sochan” crowd.

Clear the way for Flight 10! Jeremy drives and finishes with two hands for safety!

SYNERGY! After the monster Wemby block, he finds Jeremy for the lob slam on the other end!

SYNERGY PART TWO! Jeremy returns the favor to Wemby on the alley-oop!

Keldon Johnson dropped nine points, three rebounds, an assist, and a block.

GET UP! KJ slams it home under the basket with ease!

After the Dev rejection, KJ spots up from the corner and splashes home a three!

Sandro Mamukelashvili dropped six points, five rebounds, three assists, a steal, and a block. MAMU SLAM! Mamu slams home the pass from HB for another two points off of turnovers!

Magnifique! Act I was a steaming success for the silver and black. Dev was efficient dropping buckets, Jeremy was doing the dirty work, and most of all Wemby showed out! Don’t be surprised if he continues to show out in Act II this Saturday.

Finally, here are the full game highlights.

Act II of the Paris Games vs the Pacers is this Saturday at 11:00 A.M. on ESPN/KENS.
