Open Thread: Oktoberfest is coming to The Rock at La Cantera

Fall events include concerts, movie nights and seasonal holiday activities

Per a Spurs press release:

The Rock at La Cantera announced its fall lineup of events, featuring an Oktoberfest celebration on Friday, Oct. 11. Beginning in September, The Rock will host a handful of festive activities at Frost Plaza to mark the change of the season.

Oktoberfest, the Bavarian celebration of fall, will feature Stein hoist contests, authentic German food and drinks, and live music by “The Seven Dutchmen.”

Oktoberfest at The Rock begins Friday, October 11th from 6 to 11 p.m. and is open to all ages. General admission tickets include access to complimentary beer, wine and spirts tasting and are available now on .

“With summer vacations and travel wrapping up as school gets back in session, The Rock is a perfect local spot for everyone to get some fresh air, enjoy our festive activities and continue spending time outdoors,” said Casey Heverling, Senior Vice President of Facilities for Spurs Sports & Entertainment. “The fall season brings so many exciting holidays, sports matchups and more, so we’re looking forward to inviting all our friends, fans and neighbors over to our campus to enjoy, alongside the Spurs family.”
