2 hospitalized after two-vehicle crash on Northwest Side, SAPD says

Two drivers were taken to the hospital after a two-vehicle crash on the Northwest Side, according to the San Antonio Police Department.

Officers responded just before 5 p.m. Saturday on Bandera Road and East Broadview Drive for a crash involving a gray 2013 Mazda CX5 and a silver 2009 Nissan Sentra.

An SAPD preliminary report states the driver of the Sentra, traveling southbound, veered into the northbound lanes and collided with the Mazda.

Following the crash, police at the scene told KSAT three people were treated and taken to the hospital. However, the report states only the two drivers were hospitalized after sustaining major injuries.

At this time, it’s unknown what caused the crash or if anyone is facing any charges.

This crash is the second time a collision has occurred at this location. On Wednesday, a woman was killed after she was hit by a driver.

The investigation is ongoing.
