What to make of the Spurs extending LaMarcus Aldridge

Bruno Passos and I had an opportunity to join Mike Prada’s Limited Upside NBA Podcast to preview the San Antonio Spurs 2017-18 season, and the first thing he asked us about was the Spurs extending LaMarcus Aldridge’s contract. But we didn’t stop there, we looked back at the summer that was and the re-signing of Pau Gasol and the acquisition of Rudy Gay. We looked forward to a season Dejounte Murray not bouncing between Austin and San Antonio. He asked us a couple of tough questions that have no good answers — and then we talked about playing the Golden State Warriors. Then we discussed Kawhi Leonard as the front-runner for the MVP award.
