What to expect for San Antonio’s Thanksgiving weather

As coronavirus cases mount across the nation, the Thanksgiving holiday is causing unprecedented anxiety for those watching the spread of the virus.

If you’re taking precautions and adjusting your dining plans to an outdoor environment, San Antonio will offer perfect weather  – if you’re dining in the shade – for Turkey Day.

The National Weather Service is predicting a Thanksgiving Day that will bring a slightly hotter than seasonal high of 79 with partly sunny skies, followed by a low of 66 at night with mostly cloudy skies.

A 20 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms is forecast after midnight on Thanksgiving and will increase to a 30 percent chance into Friday morning.

The chance for rain during the weekend will end after Saturday, when high temperatures are forecast to be cool, in the mid and upper 60s into Sunday, when mostly sunny skies will return.

Weekend nightly lows will hover in the 50s and 60s, creating perfect weather to follow stay at home recommendations while gorging on leftover turkey, sides, pies and tamales with your quarantine partner, family or pets.
