Watch Gregg Popovich coach DeMar Derozan in Team USA’s first practice

The National team, featuring the newest Spur and Pop were in action today.

Gregg Popovich’s time at the helm of USA’s men’s basketball team has been a long time coming, but today is the day. One of the Spurs’ newest acquisitions, DeMar DeRozan is on a team accompanied by NBA MVP James Harden and the rest of the players hoping to represent their country in the 2020 Olympics.

Pop gets the guys started working the ball down the court quickly with a weave drill, and around 17 minutes, Russell Westbrook (who looks to have cut off his shorts himself) has a moment where it appears he’s never dribbled a basketball before. DeRozan gets some work in just before the 20 minute mark. The entire video is just over an hour.
